In living out the command of Jesus to love our neighbor as our self, and following the Church's teaching on the Corporal Works of Mercy, we invest heavily in being a presence to those who cannot join us. We reach out to those who are sick, homebound or unable to attend Mass, receive Communion, and in need of fellowship. We do this in two different areas.
Hosptial and Homebound
We also provide Communion, Confession, Anointing of the Sick, and fellowship visitation to parishioners and non-parishioners who are either homebound or residing at other medical facilities.
Along with providing spiritual aide and companionship, we also have volunteers at all locations who are willing to share their gift of entertainment and fellowship. Whether it's playing an instrument, singing, playing games, reading, we desire to help provide companionship to those who often feel lonely and forgotten.
A long-term residential care and rehabilitative facility near Divine Mercy, we serve the Garden Grove community through fellowship and providing the sacraments. We provide Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion (non-ordained members of the parish) to deliver the Eucharist every Tuesday morning. We also assist in providing appointments with a priest for receiving Confession and Anointing of the Sick.
What is Happiness and how can we attain it? Our deepest desires for Happiness can only be
filled by God and responding to His grace. St. Augustine of Hippo states the answer best when
he wrote, “We were created for thee O’ Lord and our hearts are restless until they rest in thee.”
On Earth, our desire for happiness IS most adequately filled when we LIVE FOR GOD. The
prayer of St. Francis hits the nail on the head, “For it is giving of ourselves that we receive…”
Joining the Knight of Columbus and participating in our charitable works will aid in your hunt
for happiness. Our council, 9602, is committed to Faith in God and charitable works in His name!
Please prayerfully consider joining our faith filled, fun, and fraternal organization.

"The singing of the Church comes ultimately out of love. It is the utter depth of love that produces the singing.… St. Augustine says, "… singing is a lover’s thing". In so saying, we come again to the trinitarian interpretation of Church music. The Holy Spirit is love, and it is he who produces the singing. He is the Spirit of Christ, the Spirit who draws us into love for Christ and so leads to the Father."
-Pope Benedict XVI, "The Spirit of the Liturgy"
Divine Mercy Parish firmly believe in the the importance of reverent and meaningful worship in liturgy. Utilizing both traditional and modern music, we draw closer to Christ in liturgy by offering Him our sincere praise.
Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults is the Church's process for individuals who want to enterinto the Roman Catholic Church. This involves preparation for receiving the sacraments of Baptism, Holy Eucharist and Confirmation.
